PURPOSE STATEMENT
ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROMES: TRANSLATING GUIDELINE UPDATES INTO PRACTICE will emphasize the newly updated STEMI and NSTEMI guidelines and their effect on ACS treatment strategies.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the most recent updates to the ACC/AHA STEMI and UA/NSTEMI guidelines
- Summarize the results of clinical trials supporting the guideline-recommended use of anticoagulant agents for the care of patients with ACS
- Examine efficacy and safety data from recent clinical trials of anticoagulant agents in the management of ACS
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for clinical and interventional cardiologists, as well as emergency medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals interested in the management of acute coronary syndromes.
